Huntsville, AL Botanical Gardens Wedding Photography |Alabama Vintage Wedding Photographers

A few months back, a local magazine reached out to us and asked if we’d do the photography for our local Botanical Gardens. Of course we adored this opportunity, and after a few weeks of intense styling, we held a styled wedding photo-shoot at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. The shoot was in order to promote the lovely local venue. Through this shoot, we wanted to showcase the myriads of picture-perfect spots the Gardens have to offer! Each nook in The Gardens is available as a wedding ceremony/reception site! Our favorite little spot, where we held the shoot, was the herb garden! This cozy little location would make for such a quaint and “back-yard” feel wedding!

We then headed all around the gardens for some beautiful bride and groom portraits for the editorial portion of the magazine!

We styled the shoot with the organic elements of the gardens in mind… we wanted it to feel simple, natural, and unpretentious…

This garden-inspired piece was painted by yours truly :)

Because not many decorations are needed when hosting a wedding at the Botanical Gardens, we kept the details small and in tune with the surroundings…. For a wedding in the herbs garden, we visualized pies in planting pots, tea bags as favors, held in rod-iron lanterns.

The bride and groom signs were also painted by yours truly, and the perfect flowers were generously created by Huntsville Florist

Morgan’s hair and make up was rendered even more flawless by Erin Smith Beauty

The bride’s ruffled gown and pink belt are by Vera Wang White Collection…

A giant thank you to Morgan and Rob for being ultra fabulous in front of the camera!

  1. I absolutely LOVE the Herb Garden at the HSVBG too. It’s my fave area there. I’ve taken my daughter there several times for shoots when she was smaller. Love the picket fence and that gates. Lovely job, as usual.
