Saying we’ve traveled to China through our photography, still has a surreal ring to it. Candy and Kenny were the couple who blessed us with that gift. Believe me when I say that this couple is so beautiful both inwardly as outwardly, in a manner that is hard to describe. Their love floats to a place only they know of. The way that Kenny dedicates himself to his girl is remarkable, and is reminiscent of a romantic flick. Candy emits beauty with every gesture, and her careful laughter, resonates with everyone. Candy and Kenny treated Christine and I, as well as our hubbies who traveled with us to Hong Kong, to one of the best meals I’ve ever had, at Kenny’s Japanese restaurant: Kaneda. The 7 course meal was a treat for all our taste buds and awoke parts of our palates we didn’t know were there. Truly, if you are ever in Hong Kong, do yourself a favor and visit Kaneda, you will thank me later
Candy and Kenny chose all the locations for the shoot themselves; they ensured that their session took place in very meaningful locations, from their favorite park, to the high school where they first met.
We are so thrilled to finally be sharing these images on the blog with all of you, we are so excited to see your responses and tell us just how beautiful Candy and Kenny are
Candy’s engagement ring was perhaps in the most unique setting I’ve ever seen– one side of it had a “W” for Wife and the other “H” for husband
I foresee a trend about to explode in the U.S. !
Candy and Kenny loved the styled sessions they had seen in our portfolio and wanted something similar for their session. They chose the cutest, best coordinated outfits and accessories, but they could not find ONE thing in Hong Kong… a vintage banner. As we had over 15 hours of “spare time” on the flight there, we made them a custom banner just for them, and we were happy that it matched their styling flawlessly!
Then it was time to switch locations, and finally get into the wedding gown- a stunning Vera Wang, finished with the classiest pair red-soled Christian Louboutin pumps.
I can just picture Candy and Kenny sitting at this table as teenagers; flashing shy smiles and exchanging innocent glances, not ever imagining that one day, they would be sitting there in their wedding attire…
Kenny and Candy, we will not ever be able to thank you enough for taking us to the other side of the world to celebrate and capture your love. Your love is so epic, traveling 8000 miles seems exactly appropriate. We wish you all the most wonderful things in life, beginning with what we know will be a sensational wedding in Japan!
