Whitney and Mike came to Huntsville AL for their SimplyBloom “Perfect Match” session a few weeks ago, and this past Saturday we went to them in Madison, GA for their farm wedding, which was a dream. Whitney and Mike both work with and love children, and this fact shows in their spirits. They wear genuine smiles for one another and for the world around them. They retain that childlike spirit that everyone should embrace. And what’s more is that outwardly they are just as beautiful as they are inside.

We love this photo because it depicts Whitney & Mike so truthfully!

An engagement photo session is the best excuse to snuggle with your other half.

Whitney & Mike, you guys are incredible individuals, and together you make an invincible duo. Attending your wedding this past Saturday was such an honor, so much love was put into every little detail of your big day, but it still showed that what mattered the most to everyone was your happiness, love and joy! Congrats!

On another note, and in more of a V&C’s Reality Post sort of note:
While driving back from Whitney & Mike’s wedding this past Saturday, it needs to be mentioned that Christine and I had a bit of a situation. It was late, the roads were dark, and Christine drove, while we tiredly chatted. Let me preface by saying that what I am about to type and therefore what you are about to read will take you minutes longer than the quickness in which it all happened: While driving in the right lane, we both saw a slow flashlight out of the corner of our eyes coming from the left lane. This deviated both our eyes to the left and in literally a millisecond our eyes stared back in front of us, where inches away was a car on its side with shattered windows and much more damage than that millisecond let us absorb. We were driving about 7o mph and Christine had the quick reaction and reflex to swerve out of the way very very quickly jolt into the left lane and dodge what could have been a gigantic accident, potentially leading in very serious injuries. Seconds after that happened we were in a state of schock and kept driving very slowly. Looking back we should have perhaps stopped to assist the man with the flashlight, but we couldn’t think straight at the time. We prayed and recognized how fortunate we are to have been literally blessed by the same guardian angel that night. We were flooded with feelings of thankfulness and appreciation for our extraordinary lives. Any life is a gift that goes recognized and should be appreciated every single day.
