Lauren and Chris’ wedding embodied the modern-vintage theme. Their celebration took place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Muscle Shoals, AL . We loved the way this couple blended contemporary colors with vintage elements through-out their wedding. Lauren and Chris hosted a stunning and quirky event full of those beautiful little details we love photographing so much! Even L&C ‘s ceremony was as bright as their personalities. It seemed as if they chose a naturally happy day to be married: the vivid blue July sky wrapped all-around, the sun shone softly, while the breeze danced among every guest. The bride and groom smiled nervously at each other. Chris’ legs even shook with excitement and anticipation from the moment he saw his bride walking down the aisle, until he claimed her his through the formal vows. Lauren was all smiles as Chris recited his sincere words to her, and Chris was almost to tears as Lauren professed her love to him on their sun-shiny afternoon.
At the reception we saw so much of Chris and Lauren’s personalities with every thought-out detail decorating the room: A personalized candy table rich with bright pinks, Round lanterns swinging from the high ceilings, personalized lovebirds as cake toppers, and **THE** coolest groom’s cake we have seen thus far! Seriously, Chris’s cake creation was completely original. Let’s just say, if guys dreamed about wedding cakes this would by IT! We loved photographing each of their many DIY details- such as: programs, signs, labels, and monogrammed candy bags!
After the ceremony Lauren and Chris allowed so much time for their artistic shots. But even better, was the fact that we were shooting them through “the golden hour” right before sunset! We just love how varied their artistic shots are, ranging from the green rolling hills, to tall yellow wild grass, to a PERFECT vintage car we had so much fun shooting with!
