Tori & Devin Styled Short Film Session | St. Louis, MO Wedding Photography

Depending on how long you have been following our blog, you may remember Tori & Devin from their engagement session or their fantastic wedding in Missouri. They gave us complete artistic freedom to style their Short Film session and we love the way everything turned out! I think Christine and I work best when a client trusts  to do “our thing” and fully believes in our artistic eye. With Tori & Devin’s shoot we wanted to incorporate several decor inspiration ideas. We gathered most of the items from local antique stores and acquired the flowers from a local market. Tori & Devin were also 100% dedicated to this project and brought in a few EXTRAORDINARY items of their own! such as: a lovely worn “newlywed” sign, and a special bouquet you will see below…. without further ado, we are anxious for you to scroll through the photos and let us know your thoughts!

bride and groom-- modern vintage decor for weddings

We created Tori’s hair piece from fresh flowers accented by eucalyptus leaves and tied together with the most perfect vintage broach.

We knew right away when deciding to have a table set up to inspire our brides, we wanted a cake idea that was different from cupcakes but that was still flexible in size and most importantly- a different concept. We came up with white chocolate covered green apples frosted and stacked on the most lovely cake stand. This is an inexpensive quirky idea that can be adapted for any type of wedding!

Vintage plates and lavender petals infused the table with a classic look.

With the table linens we also wanted to create something unique and simple. We bought plain fabric and secured vintage lace symmetrically from the center to the circumference.

And here is their insanely wonderful contribution piece: A bouquet made out of ANTHROPOLOGIE DOOR KNOBS! DOUBLE SWOON!  When Tori showed us the breathtaking bouquet, we just had to incorporate a knob in Devin’s boutonniere.

I love this shot not only because of the bride’s intense look, but also because it showcases the headpiece, boutonniere and bouquet beautifully!
