DIY, Rustic, Vintage, Retro, these are all wonderful adjectives to describe the look of this next lovely wedding. The early-October Saturday offered the most splendid weather, temperature, and a premature touch of fall colors through the trees. Stacey and Chris were so wonderful from beginning to end, that I may have to make a public dinner invite to them
Seriously, they felt like good friends by the end of the day. The couple is so unconventional, and so of course, was every detail of their wedding! From their quirky engagement shoot to their rustic wedding, our cameras smiled. Because Stacey and Chris put SO MUCH of themselves into each and every detail of their wedding, each photo deserves a little descriptive caption!
Beginning with, the ceremony arch Stacey decorated with cup-cake wrappers.

Each Cup-cake wrapper was stringed together by a recurring element in the wedding—-twine.

Rustic Anthropologie frames and candles adorned the ceremony site

The Guest-Book Tree is perhaps the most unique, organic, and simple way to interact with your wedding guests.

Most, if not all of these beautiful wedding elements were DIY– including the quirky, colorful bouquet

Stacey and Chris were married at the Union Grove ART Gallery on the groom’s college campus. This lovely setting is an old chapel generally used as an ART gallery for UAH. Stacey had the wonderful idea to use it as a ceremony site– and we believe it to be one of the cutest spots!

Love this next one of the bride and her brother making the same face walking down the aisle

Stacey is such an independent woman, and to see her break down like this, brought tears to everyone’s eyes.

And now, please take notes of what happens when you a) trust your photographer fully, and b) reserve a lot of time for “romantics” while the lighting is perfect

The reception was just as lovely as the ceremony and each detail reminded me of something out of the “Home and Garden” Magazine.

Aren’t the linens fabulous?!

The bride and groom made each sign & paper flower

Even the wedding cake was DIY, baked with love by the groom’s sister

Stacey and Chris, your whole wedding was such a pleasent, beautiful experience and capturing it was nothing short of an honor.
